FOR CHILDREN
What can I do with my grateful thoughts?
There must be a way to say "thank you" to God
for all of the good He is giving.
And surely today a wonderful way
is to see that my "thank-you" I'm living.
It's not just the words that I say when I'm glad
or only the good thoughts I'm knowing.
To tell God I'm thankful is not quite enough;
I've got to be sure that it's showing!
When Mommy is carrying groceries inside
or Daddy is washing his car,
or Sister needs help when she's tying her shoe,
I can prove what my grateful thoughts are.
By helping my sister and mother and dad
I'm able to show how I feel.
My gratefulness then blesses others as well,
and I know that this "thank-you" is real!
