Mary Baker Eddy, a special friend introduces her as a loving friend and perceptive Bible student, following Christ Jesus' teachings from childhood. This engaging 36-page illustrated biography tells how study and prayer led to the discovery of Christian Science, the writing of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, the establishment of the Church of Christ, Scientist, and the periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor. A favorite poem by Mrs. Eddy, " 'Feed My Sheep,' " is included in the book.
The text, first published in the Christian Science Sentinel of September 1, 1980, was expanded by author Karin Sass for the book. Lovely full-page color illustrations by Christa Kieffer provide an accurate view of the period and invite children to learn about Mrs. Eddy's life.
Mary Baker Eddy, a special friend may be purchased soon for $7.95 at any Christian Science Reading Room.
