Christ's healing tenderness
In Christian Science the healing agent is not the human mind. It is the Christ, the true idea of Love, God.
The Christ comes tenderly to human consciousness, conveying the truth of man's spiritual perfection. Christ removes fear, silences pain, heals the sorrowful and sick, regenerates the sinner—expressing in tangible terms the strong care of our Father-Mother God. "Thus saith the Lord,... As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you." Isa. 66:12, 13.
No condemnation of man accompanies this Christ-healing, only the pure love of God for His child that removes sin. Christ is God's message of assurance, not censure. As Love's reflection, man is pure, harmonious, and safe—always embraced by Love. This ineffably sweet revelation, coming to prayer-inspired human thought, is what dissolves the illusive shackles of mortal belief.
