Living without stress and tension

We live in God! That's what the Bible tells us. It asserts, "In him we live, and move, and have our being." Acts 17:28. These comforting words of Paul have strengthened mankind through the ages.

Spiritually explaining Paul's declaration, Christian Science reveals God as infinite Mind, and man's true identity as the reflection, or idea, of God. Being God's idea, man actually lives in divine Mind; in Spirit, not in matter; and is wholly spiritual. Because man reflects and expresses Spirit, he knows only the presence, purity, dominion, and peace of God. No matter how real stress and tension may seem to us, the spiritual truth of being, clearly perceived, can bring complete freedom.

As one gains an understanding of God, divine Love, and of man as Love's idea, he is changing—spiritualizing—his consciousness. He is awakening to the fact that Mind never made matter and discord, and that man can never have anything that God did not make. In the degree that one understands this, he can prove it.
