Needed: willingness to handle error repeatedly

A beautiful garden in full bloom and free of all undesirable growth is the result of continual nurturing, weeding, pruning, and removal of debris.

Mental gardening requires the same persistent effort. Through scientific prayer we beautify human thought and keep it free of unwanted traits and the intrusions of disease and sin. These "weeds" of mortal mind would hide man's spiritual identity and his expression of beauty, form, and symmetry as the reflection of Spirit. The weeding, pruning, disposal process destroys rejected error, purifies thought, and prepares it for the unfolding of true, spiritual being.

But what happens when new weeds appear, when additional pruning becomes necessary, or when a once-removed weed reappears, perhaps larger and more aggressive than before (a sure indication that the root was not entirely destroyed)?
