Over the years in which I have learned to rely on Christian Science...
Over the years in which I have learned to rely on Christian Science for solving all problems, I have had many healings. For example, I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help when I was suffering from a very unpleasant stomach disturbance. She referred me to the following passage in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 331): "God is individual, incorporeal. He is divine Principle, Love, the universal cause, the only creator, and there is no other self-existence." When it became clear to me that all activity comes from Mind and that this activity is always harmonious, I was very quickly healed.
I was also quickly freed of a painful eye inflammation when the definition of "eyes" in the Glossary of Science and Health became clear to me. It includes (p. 586), "Spiritual discernment,—not material but mental."
I am especially grateful for the following proof that Christian Science heals. I once fell down several steps with such force that I was not able to get up by myself, nor could I either use or move my right arm. After my family had taken care of me, my son said: "What you need is joy and activity." At first I was taken aback at this remark, because I felt very helpless and saw no reason for joy and no way I could do anything. However, after I thought about it, I accepted that these two things—joy and activity—were divine qualities that I couldn't be without for one moment.
