Publishing salvation
Isn't each one of us involved in publishing something? The word "publish" actually refers to the act of making something publicly known, any announcing or proclaiming of something. A way of life can certainly be as much a proclamation of something (one's thinking perhaps?) as the printed word. Are we publishing good or evil, or some combination of both?
If we are striving to publish good, we can expect to receive the joy and peace described in the Bible passage, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!" Isa. 52:7.
Every life lived in accord with truth, or divine Science, is such an announcement, a publishing of salvation. As Christ Jesus said: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matt. 5:14-16.
