I can categorically state that as a consequence of having known and adopted the teachings of Christian Science as the norm in my life, I have been spiritually reborn.
Since adolescence I had felt a constant restlessness to find a way that would lead me really to know God. I was searching for Him gropingly, because I thirsted for Him.
Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health, p. 1), "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." This desire, when coupled with a restlessness with matter, must always bear fruit. In my case, the desire to know God better guided me to Christian Science. I was very young then and really had no problems, either of health or of any other kind. As I had no job yet or definite occupation at that time, I thought that having a clearer knowledge of God and His true nature would show me what my path should be—which is what did, in fact, happen.
