Candlesharing
A candle glows.
Not because it is seen
but because
there is a source of light
that invites expression.
A candle doesn't see or count
the number of eyes
drawn its way.
Its intensity doesn't
wax or wane
because of an audience.
A candle glows.
Dispelling the dark
and lighting
a way
wherein to walk,
just as the Christ does today,
at this very instant
revealing man to be man and
life to be Life.
Each of us is spiritual/unlimited, rather than
downtrodden and error-burdened.
"But how can we show this," whines a voice
"if people don't notice?
We'll put up neon signs and plastic arrows,
flashy advertisements everywhere!
We'll build the largest loudspeaker in the world
(to be heard above the other noise) and..."
