About seven or eight years ago I was working on a job that required much walking. During this time, over a period of days, painful attacks in my right side increased in frequency and intensity until I was unable to continue the work. I was forced to my bed and phoned a Christian Science practitioner for help.

As an earnest student of Science, I had no desire to seek medical help for this trouble, nor was I unduly concerned whether the attacks were called "appendicitis," "gallstones," or anything else.
