I thank God that my grandfather began attending a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, after he'd witnessed a co-worker's healing of goiter. When I was two years old my grandparents enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School, where I was a regular pupil until the age of twenty.

As a teen-ager, I was healed while attending a Christian Science lecture with my grandparents. Immediately after Sunday School that day I had gone to bed, suffering from monthly cramps. But I had managed to get ready in time for my grandparents to pick me up. By the end of the lecture I was healed, and I have never had a recurrence of that problem.

After marriage to a wonderful man and the births of our four children, we moved into a lovely home of our own. This move followed many months of concentrated study of Science. A number of hours were spent in the Christian Science Reading Room, where I read articles pertaining to "home" in the bound volumes of the Christian Science Sentinel and The Christian Science Journal.
