Though I was raised in a family of second-generation Christian Scientists, at first I did not study this teaching seriously. My mother's prayerful help, given in times of need, I just took for granted.

A few years back, through the effective prayer of my mother, I was quickly and permanently healed of injuries sustained in a severe accident. The unbearable pain went away withing two hours, and the injuries healed in a day or so, with no aftereffects.

For some time now I have studied Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy rather earnestly, and I can testify that careful study of it does heal. I have experienced two healings—accomplished solely through the cover-to-cover reading of this book. I relate these healings to encourage others.
