The Wednesday meeting

MICHELLE MATTHOW

Achingly, ardently,
the surging tide of Love
swells within me,
flowing forth
from the ocean
of Christly inspiration
and pure joy.

Bittersweet tears
of dawn and surrender
impel my spiraling affection
to reach out
and touch
and say
Thank you, God.
