Afraid? Talk to God
When fear shouts at you, turn from it and talk to God. Persist until fear leaves you; for it must leave when you understand man's relationship to God and have begun to prove it.
Knowing man's inseparability from God, good, thank Him that He cares for you, even as a mother cares for her child. You can know that God's Mother-love embraces you always. Avow that you love God. The more you love Him, the better you are able to resist the suggestion of fear; for fear has no power where God is. Knowing that God is infinite Love, acknowledge His all-power and affirm that you do place trust in Him. Become aware that He guides you. Acknowledge His allness and thank Him that you are not a mortal—either fearful or not fearful—but actually His spiritual child.
As you get to know God and understand Him in Science, fear will fade. Fill your thoughts with Life, Truth, Love. If fear screams at you, praise God; glorify Him for His goodness—for making you in His image and for keeping you so. Rejoice that you live in divine Life as God's idea; that He is your Mind. Be grateful that apprehensions cannot keep you from enjoying the beauty of His vast creation or from being His representative. Realize that you are not a selfish (or unselfish) mortal but His immortal child and that He means more to you than anyone in the world, because He is All-in-all. The more God means to you, the less fear can hold you in bondage.
