Through Christian Science, I worked to the best of my ability to heal myself of a case of athlete's foot. After several days of prayer, however, the symptoms of the disease were still apparent, so I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. I told him of my predicament, and he recommended that I study a particular passage from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. He also reassured me that he would be working with me through prayer.

At the end of the second day, one foot had returned to its normal appearance. I was jubilant and felt a strong urge to continue the work on my own. With a deep sense of gratitude for the progress already made and knowing that God heals "all the way," I persisted in acknowledging that man is the perfect spiritual idea of Mind; also, that Mind, God, completely sustains all His ideas. Since Mind is ever active, I reasoned, a spiritual idea can never be hindered in its expression.

Several days later all evidence of the disease had disappeared. With a warm feeling of joy, I realized that I was free! Many years have elapsed since this healing with no recurrence of the problem. Christian Science heals, and I thank God to have proved it. My heartfelt appreciation, too, for membership in The Mother Church, a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and especially for Christian Science class instruction.
