The reckoning: adolescence
Son, you are settled in God's kingdom,
where man cannot do what Mind would not.
Love never writes man out of what is true,
does not provide a stage for mortal mind's
charades on self, does not project
outside the jurisdiction of His law.
There are no oversights in Soul,
no lost advantages or left-out afternoons.
God knows what man is equal to,
and what does satisfy.
Son, with your full-of-questions,
trying-harder, doing-better-than-you-did-before
exuberance, you verb the best intentions.
Which I'll match with mine by trusting you
to God's unerring love. You are His child.
He is our Father and we all are settled in
His kingdom, where man is what Mind
intended him to be.
