I'm very grateful that for fifteen of the past sixteen years our business has undergone a lot of progress. Most important, I give Christian Science full credit for helping me over the rough spots and enabling me to contribute to this success.

At one time we had a salesman who'd been with us for three years. He was considered among the top salesmen in the state, and he seemed quite happy with his work. Then another company heard about him and made him a lucrative job offer, which he accepted.

The weeks that followed were rather hectic because I had to do all of the selling in that salesman's territory, help the remaining six salesmen, keep up the reports and records, interview and hire a new salesman, and cover vacation periods.
