Handling animal magnetism
From the metaphysical standpoint of Christian Science, there's nothing mysterious about the workings of animal magnetism or the way to handle it.
Its claims are inherently subtle, deceptive, devious, because founded on a lie, the lie of a mind apart from God. They seem confusing to mortal sense because they are fraudulent, disguised, and more or less hidden. But to know all this is to be well on our way to unmasking and mastering these claims in any specific situation.
Exposure by Truth, together with reversal of mesmeric suggestions with the facts of Science, is the answer, just as light exposes the nothingness of darkness. When discerned and accepted, the truths we derive from immortal Mind, the only Mind there really is, are found sufficient to meet every hypnotic claim of evil.
