Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us in the Preface of Science and Health (p vii): "A book introduces new thoughts, but it cannot make them speedily understood. It is the task of the sturdy pioneer to hew the tall oak and to cut the rough granite. Future ages must declare what the pioneer has accomplished." As a Christian Scientist of the "future ages" I attest, once again, to the wonderful help and guidance I am receiving from the study of that precious book.
After first reading it, I found myself saying, "I see now," meaning that I was beginning to understand the true nature of God.
Later I found I no longer needed glasses. My eyes, which had been weakened and crossed, had completely straightened and have remained so. My joy is unbounded!
