Your source is present with you

I had been looking forward to this weekend for some time. Now it was here! Three friends and I were driving north for skiing. A house had been made available for us with the slopes at our doorstep.

Before getting into the packed car I silently declared God's presence with us. I had learned through my study of Christian Science that the source of true being is God, divine Mind. Thus, all real thought, being, and action flow from Mind. Christ Jesus proved that an understanding of the origin of man as the manifestation of God sustains and upholds us. Mary Baker Eddy says in Science and Health, "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action." Science and Health, p. 283.

As the car pulled out of the garage, I knew God was always with me and everyone. I knew that God and His goodness, peace, harmony, are all-powerful and ever present—that only good and peace were with me, and not chance, discord, danger. God, good, was directing me, and that was all I could ever really know. God, man's true origin, could not send both good and bad. That was impossible. Therefore, since God, the source of all living, was good at that moment, the source had always been and always would be good. "Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?" James 3:11.
