Understand your completeness

Christian Science embraces all humankind, regardless of dogma, creed, or persuasion, in the understanding that man is, as Mrs. Eddy tells us, "the compound idea of infinite Spirit; the spiritual image and likeness of God; the full representation of Mind."^{Science and Health, p. 591.}

What a majestic heritage you and I have! A Father-Mother God who loves each of us impartially! He holds His children equally intact in His holiness, completeness, perfection. The spiritual fact is that as His image and likeness, man reflects His intelligence, strength, magnitude, fullness. Man reflects God and bears witness to His allness. We read in the Scriptures, "Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee."^{Job 22:21.}

Mortals, governed by material sense—the belief of life in matter—perceive themselves as creators apart from God. In a materially mental ledger, so to speak, they record themselves and their fellow human beings, counting precisely as if with an abacus, their credits and debits. The credits might include material wealth, world travel, degrees from prestigious universities, renowned position, completeness centered in husband, wife, children, grandchildren.
