Stilling storms
Matthew 14:27
Dear God, if I seem to be faced with storms,
I know Your omnipotent presence
binds rebellious forms,
upholds untroubled norms
at home in Your peaceful essence.
You quicken my quiet, pure understanding:
no waves there that mystify,
no turbulence there, demanding,
only the Christly, unending
"Be of good cheer; it is I."
