Loving our friends
Christopher is five. He and his younger brother, Jeffrey, live in a house with a big garden. Like most boys and girls, he likes to play with other children. So he was pleased when some new children moved into his neighborhood.
Before long, Patty and Kimberly began coming over to play with Chris and Jeff. One day while they were playing, Patty and Kimberly began calling the boys names. Then they all started arguing. Soon Chris was in the house crying. He asked his mommy why the girls weren't being nice and what he should do about it.
Mommy suggested that they listen quietly to God. The Bible tells us, "God is love," I John 4:8; and Christ Jesus said, "Bless them that curse you." Matt. 5:44. They knew that they could turn to God and that He would give them an answer filled with love and joy for everyone.
