Learning to live/love
When Christ Jesus was comforting his disciples and praying for them shortly before his crucifixion, he said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3;
That Life is God, that He is the source and continuing animus of man, and that through Christ a human being's life coincides with the divine are basic teachings of Christian Science.
Such a spiritual understanding of Life may be accepted easily in theory, though even those who accept it have much to learn of its practice. A firm declaration that God is one's Life has extricated many in emergency situations from impending disaster. And countless people have found that a consecration to understanding God as Life is changing everything in their experience.
