Life cycle
Vigor, power, and purpose—
Vital signs of Life—
give me conscious worth.
(What a wonder, they never wear out!)
They give me eternal genesis
That never in pulsation fails
to flow me on.
But not in narrow linear concepts
stop and go
eventually stopping.
So I refuse to enter pressure's picture.
Life's unhurried revelation
Qualifies your living purpose, too:
It is to have
to gain
to grow
to give
Of substance circulating freely,
An image unprosaic, undefeatable, and so loved
That valuation of divinity
Becomes your validation of identity,
signet of Life itself,
a sign and wonder
of Love's work.
(Think of it: for you and for me.)
