The Science of true defense
To defend ourselves and our families from danger is one of today's compelling needs. Danger threatens on many fronts—war on the international scene, accidents and crime on urban streets, economic uncertainty and unemployment; and in our personal lives, the danger of poor health, failing business, disappearing friendships, or low marks in school.
Indeed, one eminent journalist, recently scanning the array of world threats, pronounced the 1980's potentially "the most dangerous decade in history."
Can Christian Science help us to defend ourselves and those we love? The answer is yes, based upon two spiritual truths. First, because God, good, is the only power, there is in reality no opposite power called evil that can endanger us. And second, because we— as God's children—express the spiritual power of God, good, we can prove ourselves to be equipped with the resources needed to defend ourselves against the illusion of evil.
