My son was supposed to have a mastoid operation when he was ten years old. Someone told me about Christian Science and how the boy could be healed spiritually. This person recommended that I read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the textbook of this Science. I immediately went to a Christian Science Reading Room, where I borrowed a copy, and then stayed up all night reading it. A feeling of the presence of the Christ came to me.

The next morning we visited the doctor, and he told us that it wouldn't be necessary to operate after all. What joy! My son never had trouble with his ear again. Before long I was interested in becoming a member of this healing movement.

About two years ago I had a pain in one of my knees so that I could not walk. Some friends suggested it might be arthritis. I wouldn't accept this as true and called a Christian Science practitioner for help. In one month I could walk with no pain. I walk miles daily and never forget the love that I felt through the practitioner's inspiration and steadfastness. God is surely a help when we ask Him. I have also had a complete healing of bursitis. This healing came slowly but surely through reading Science and Health.
