Understanding spiritual law removes facial blemish

The first time I heard of Christian Science was when my English teacher told our class about her son. He had been ill and bedridden for a very long time, and doctors were unable to help him. One day she got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, who prayed for her son, and he was immediately healed. This made a deep impression on me. Many years later, when I contracted my semiannual case of severe flu, I asked a practitioner for help, and I was healed of that recurring difficulty.

Of course this made me very happy, and I wanted to know how I had been healed. So I began to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. During my study, a chronic headache and severe gallstone trouble disappeared. I threw away all my medicine, and since then I have relied on Christian Science. With the aid of practitioners, there have been many fine healings.

Last summer I noticed a small brown dot on my cheek. At first I thought little about it and scratched it off. After a few days, there was a larger spot on my cheek, and I prayed with the truths of Christian Science. But after many weeks, the spot was still there, so once more I attempted to scratch it off. The condition worsened and increased in size.
