First, the vision
It is fitting that the flag of our country should fly here in honor of those men who, inspired by a vision of lonely lands made fruitful, conceived this great work and of those others whose genius and labor made that vision a reality.

First, have the vision. This is an important preliminary to making practical the metaphysical truths of Christian Science. We must perceive the absolute realities of being. When we are discerning, realizing, and living the immortal truths of perfect God and man through exercising spiritual vision, then human living becomes more fruitful. Its conditions improve in conformity with our higher, purer, more inspired vision.
