Finding and using the right energy

The world is being pushed toward a radically new concept of energy.

As industrialized countries seek ever-increasing amounts of energy and as oil-producing nations seek to conserve their supplies against the time when reserves are depleted, the relationships among nations may center more and more on the cost, supply, and distribution of this resource.

In the view of some, peace itself may hinge on energy questions, as energy has already become a political weapon and nations are vying with one another for pieces of the energy pie.
