Stemming the refugee tide
The mass exodus of peoples from their homelands has occurred throughout history. Today, practical steps to stem the tide of uprooted humanity are being sought. We can help to heal mankind's transience by dealing with the root cause of the problem: belief in many minds.
This belief breeds conflicting opinions, ideological aggression, and disruption. It is also responsible for the failure to reach a permanent solution, since the human mind's limitations are part of the problem.
Where, then, can we help most effectively? Right within our own consciousness. In order to help mankind, we must prevent transient mortal beliefs from displacing spiritual truths in our own thought. We need to turn away from self-will, mortal opinions, prejudices, pride—and acknowledge with deep conviction the allness and oneness of Mind, God.
