For years I suffered recurring migraine headaches

For years I suffered recurring migraine headaches. In each instance, the acknowledgment of my true identity as the complete reflection of God's being brought me freedom; the headache left, but reappeared at another time. Finally, after another especially severe attack, I was determined to heal this condition permanently.

Thereafter, spiritually scientific reasoning pervaded my study of the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly, Mrs. Eddy's writings, and my reading of our periodicals. I related everything to the fact that God, Spirit, is forever present and in control of man, His flawless and pure image. It was also clear that a headache, or any suggestion of disease, is a mortal belief. And once a wrong belief is destroyed by immortal Truth, it cannot reappear. These truths became so evident that they released me from all fear of the attacks. For many years now I have been free of headaches, and I am thankful for this complete healing.

Every one of us has something for which to be grateful. To me, expressing gratitude is a way of saying "thank you" to God for His ever-present help. I've found that a good way to do this is to testify at the Wednesday testimony meetings, held each week in Churches of Christ, Scientist. Mrs. Eddy reminds us (Science and Health, p. 3): "Gratitude is much more than a verbal expression of thanks. Action expresses more gratitude than speech."
