Hornets proved harmless
One sunny afternoon four-year-old Kevin and his sister and mother were out-of-doors. Kevin was on his tricycle, and as he turned his head to look back, he rode right into a bush. He didn't mean to, but he disturbed a nest of hornets and they stung him on the leg.
He began crying and his leg started to swell. As they started for home, Kevin ran ahead and Mom began praying. She knew that accidents are contrary to God's law and that this dear child of God could not be harmed in any way.
When they got home, Kevin and Mom talked about what was true and what wasn't. They knew that he was not hurt, because he was God's perfect child, as Christ Jesus taught. They talked about some things Kevin had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. They remembered how in the lions' den Daniel had not been injured or even touched by the hungry lions.
