Healing by knowing discord has no cause
"I strongly affirmed my likeness to God as His perfect reflection and stopped finding reasons for error. Next morning I woke up quite free from all the symptoms and have felt stronger and more fit every day since."
How simple healing seems when it takes place through such straightforward application of Christian Science teachings to one's thinking. The writer of those two sentences is an experienced Christian Scientist. Over the years she had no doubt thought long and deeply about what it means to be God's perfect reflection—His offspring created in His image and maintained by His law of harmony in His perfect likeness. She had observed again and again that faithful adherence to the spiritual facts of being as outlined in the Bible, and so wonderfully proved by Christ Jesus and his followers, can be expected to heal whatever discords seem to plague one in daily life.
These spiritual facts include the truth that God, good, is All-in-all, and there is no other substance or presence. There is no law governing the universe and man except God's law of harmony. There is no opposing power—no evil power—to harm or destroy any object made by God. Life and Love are invariably expressed in man, and nothing can cause anyone to fall from the standard of perfection or disrupt his health and wholeness. The belief that a destructive power exists is an error that is effectively silenced and destroyed by knowing what is true.
