I attended the Christian Science Sunday School as a child and feel blessed to have had this wonderful Science to rely on all my life. We have seen many healings in our family.

Not long ago I became aware of a slight irritation on my hand. Without paying much attention to it I continued my daily activities. I am an art teacher, and one day after school, while filling glue bottles, some of the glue spilled on my hand. I felt a burning sensation and saw blisters rising on the skin. As soon as possible I called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer.

Over a period of time the condition would improve and then reappear in an even more aggravated form. I studied the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly and endeavored to use the healing truths I found there. The Christian Science periodicals were a great source of inspiration to me—especially the many testimonies of healing they contain. Also Hymn No. 137 from the Christian Science Hymnal was a constant source of strength when the suggestion of pain presented itself.
