You are necessary to God

Without you, God would be less than infinite, less than complete. But there are no holes in the fabric of infinity. There are no unnecessary children in God's infinite family.

If you are struggling with the questions, "Who am I? Does God know of my existence? Does He care?" Christian Science can help you. Science explains the importance of each of us to God's creation. It explains that each of us is an indestructible spiritual idea, vitally important to God to complete His perfect expression of Himself. The All-God, forever expressing Himself, unfolds His goodness through us. Indeed, He must, because we are His expressions.

God cannot do without you, without your pure and perfect selfhood, which reflects His being without a trace of materiality or finity. No one can usurp your place or have your particular uniqueness. So God certainly does know of your existence, and He cares for you. He knows that you are a necessary member of His universal family.
