I got it back plus something else

I was in first grade at the time. It was a warm, sunny day, and it seemed as if nothing could go wrong. I was working quietly at my desk. I had my ring in front of me because I had muddy hands. Then I heard something. I looked up. My ring was gone!

I glanced across my desk. One of my classmates sat there. She was very grouchy and never talked to me. While I was thinking all these things, I noticed something on her hand. My ring! It had to be mine because it had a special mark on the rim that mine had. I didn't ask her for it, and I went home very frustrated. Three of my friends had even told her it was my ring.

My mother told me when I got home that lots of people go through the same thing and that I should ask God to help me. So I opened up the Bible to the part that says, "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."^{Gen. 1:31.} I realized then that everything is spiritual and good—including my classmate—because God is Spirit and good. That's the truth Christ Jesus taught and Christian Science shows us how to use. I went to bed feeling much better.
