Concrete images

The
concrete
sidewalk, tree,
car, house, flesh, food:
these things that eyes see,
ears hear, hands feel,
seem so real.
Bury
me

in
that ground?
I protest!
What God sees, hears,
feels, knows, is truly
real—more concrete
than abstract
to me.
See?
