We have had a marvelous demonstration of the power of God in our business. It seemed to be ruined and to have no prospects; many people tried to buy it for insignificant sums. We asked for prayerful help from a Christian Science practitioner, and the result has been resounding. The work of the practitioner and our own prayer and study turned our thought to God.

The business is growing and developing abundantly. We have overcome adverse financial conditions. The avenue on which our business is located seems to have improved. The establishment has a prestigious reputation throughout the city. We learned to see employment spiritually and were grateful to be rendering a useful service to the community; to be expressing cleanliness, beauty, and promptness—right qualities that make people happy. We have a large clientele and can say that they are all our friends. In our private lives, we have passed from the poverty in which we found ourselves to constant abundance and a recognition of the provision of God.

It has been an excellent opportunity to share this activity with my children and see how they have found their bearings through a glimpse of God-ordered living.
