Life—a joy-filled adventure
Life an adventure?
Many would be skeptical, especially if we propose that life can be an adventure in joy. But Christian Science opens up just this prospect: a joyous spiritual journey, unfolding true womanhood and manhood as coincident with the nature of God, Spirit. Mrs. Eddy's words are exhilarating: "We live in an age of Love's divine adventure to be All-in-all." The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 158;
Straight and narrow at first, our adventuring in search of Love's allness becomes wide and beautiful as we discover more of Soul's substance and gain more independence from material sense. Although rugged and challenging, our way leads to ever-broadening spheres of usefulness. We need frequent "stops" for study and prayer. The adventure encompasses the whole spectrum of experience: home, education, profession, government, church. The Christly way of proving our sonship and daughterhood with God is a full commitment to spiritual living.
