and time and again looked at,
browsed through, even run to!

But have they cultivated,
trimmed and reshaped thought
causing me to bud and blossom?

These are for more than
shallow forays
sometimes called "reading";
they plant vigorous seedlings of
changed insights into the utility of
Truth—studied, then lived!
