While working in another country, I became quite ill
While working in another country, I became quite ill. I continued my duties for two months despite my condition, and then returned to my home in New York City. Throughout this time I could hardly retain food, and normal body functions were very irregular.
I consulted many physicians, and my case was variously diagnosed as ulcers, food poisoning, or gallbladder trouble. Not one of the physicians was able to help me. Although I had lost quite a bit of weight and often felt weak or faint, I tried to maintain as normal a regimen as possible.
One day at a voice lesson my teacher noticed my faintness, and after a brief discussion she recommended Christian Science treatment and advised me to visit a practitioner.
