Hear what God says
The truth of what God is can be expressed in simplest terms, and we can hear God's messages in clear and understandable ways.
We need to listen to what God says. And we can. What He tells us is more important than anything else. He tells us that He is good and that we are good. If we think we are lonely or poor or sad, we are not hearing what God says. God is Love, and God is All. He tells us we are with Him. He tells us we are spiritual. He says we are always in His care, and we could never go away from Him. So Christian Science teaches us we can be safe no matter where we are.
We listen to those we truly love. We want to know what they think. We want to know what they do. When we love God, then we listen to God. We hear God. We hear Him in our thinking. If we want to hear true, good things, we don't listen to those who may hate us. If we think that we are ill and poor, this is like listening to somebody who hates us. We are listening to lies. But we can stop listening to lies and hear what God says. This is what prayer is.
