Healing comes when we tip the right scale
"Proportion" is a relative, a human, concept. In the absolute, limitless, perfect realm of Spirit, God, there is no proportion, for God is All.
Christ Jesus understood the allness of God, good, and he accepted this truth categorically. His vision of what is spiritually real was so strong, so clear and immaculate, he was able to prove the unreality of discord; inharmony vanished.
The extent to which Christian Scientists are successful in healing depends a great deal on how much weight, in their own thought, they put in the scale of divine reality and how much in the scale of human belief with its limiting and often negative consequences. Christ Jesus' healings were instantaneous because he didn't put weight in the scale of matter. He didn't attempt to make sick matter whole but instead brought out the truth of man's eternal wholeness as God's spiritual offspring. With Jesus, perception of the real, and healing, were simultaneous.
