Turning to the Father
For weeks I have been rotating a pebble-filled bowl of narcissus bulbs on a table. Invariably the tall, spiked leaves turn toward the light from the window.
This natural turning of plants to light as a source of radiant energy is akin to our turning to God as the source of our spiritual energy and intelligence—and our very life. But how do we turn to God? Here we have the biblical advice: "He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."Heb. 11:6;
So, turning to God means acknowledging Him. It also means listening to Him—listening for His revelation of Himself and of our true, spiritual selfhood, which is embraced in Him.
