Accept only good as law
Mind is God, good. What an awesome truth! Here's another: Mind's knowing operates as an absolute law of harmony to all creation, which is spiritual. An understanding of these great truths brings evidence of God's law into our human experience.
However, to mortal sense there appears to be a material creation governed by material, discordant laws. But these are only counterfeits of Mind's laws. They are beliefs, the suppositional product of what is termed in Christian Science mortal mind. When we accept them as true, they claim to govern our health and every aspect of our lives. Mrs. Eddy writes, "Mortals, alias mortal minds, make the laws that govern their bodies, as directly as men pass legislative acts and enact penal codes; while the body, obedient to the legislation of mind, but ignorant of the law of belief, calls its own enactments 'laws of matter.'"The People's Idea of God, p. 11;
Christian Science shows us how to detect and nullify the action of this false "law of belief," however obdurate its claims. Through consistently denying the testimony of the material senses and understandingly affirming that God is the one, all-harmonious Mind, and man His spiritual reflection, we can bring our consciousness and daily affairs under the government of God's law of good.
