About three years ago I received a healing that proved to me Christ Jesus' words (Matt. 19:26), "With God all things are possible."

From childhood I had difficulty with my back. After I had grown up, there were considerable changes in my life, which did not improve the condition of my health, and the sickness even resulted in other diseases. Approximately five years ago a hospital staff diagnosed the trouble as three slipped disks in the spine, considerable wear, and heavy decalcification. The physicians were not able to do anything for me. During the next two years my condition grew worse.

One evening when it almost seemed too much to endure, I phoned a woman just to hear a voice. She recommended that I read Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which I refused. Nevertheless, I found myself in her home half an hour later. I had felt impelled by God, although I did not then recognize the inspiration that brought me there. I went home with Science and Health and started to read the Preface. Then I went to bed without taking any pills. I began to feel a desire once again to believe in God.
