I have been a student of Christian Science since my husband took me into his home as a bride. I knew nothing good of Christian Science and was even warned by my family, "You know he is a Christian Scientist, don't you?" But it was my conviction that if I were to marry a man who was a sincere member of any church, I would join him, for the sake of unity and harmony in our family.
I was soon faithfully studying the Bible, together with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and proving what I was learning in many ways. I realized that this step of marriage had been Love's provision, because I found the great truth of Life for which I had been longing for many years.
My first healing was that of morning sickness when our child was on his way. After enduring the distress a day or so, I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, who had helped my husband in the past. I was never troubled again, so immediate was the healing. I realized it was not a person who was the healer, but God in His infinite goodness.
