Both economy and riches
Most people regard economy as useful, whether it is applied in household or global affairs. We even find it practiced by those who have no need to do so. Does this not point to the fact that economy can be a natural expression of gratitude?
Mrs. Eddy speaks of economy in the Manual of The Mother Church. She says, "God requires wisdom, economy, and brotherly love to characterize all the proceedings of the members of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist." Man., Art. XXIV, Sect. 5; She didn't allow waste in her household, but neither did the practice of thrift and economy limit her.
After Christ Jesus fed the multitude with five loaves and two fishes, twelve baskets of fragments were taken up. See Matt. 14:19, 20; The fact that the fragments were gathered and not left strewn over the landscape can teach us appreciation for God's spiritual ideas, which provide us with limitless good.
