"The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 412). This healing thought, like many others in the Christian Science textbook, is a continuing prayer. For more than half a century I have been the recipient of numerous blessings from embracing the teachings of divine Science.

As a small child I was invited to visit a Christian Science Sunday School with a cousin. Although many years have passed, I have never forgotten the joy and uplift I felt as I walked home that Sunday noon. I had been given a radically new concept of God and my relationship to Him. Each week I looked forward to the next Sunday.

About five years later, while still a young girl, through no fault of my own I was taken out of school to work in the business world and make my own living. Through my childlike faith in Christian Science and my love for and acceptance of it, I was for many years brought through unbelievable circumstances and experiences—protected, guided, guarded, and sustained. For more than twenty years I was always employed regardless of my age, lack of higher education, or circumstances of the economy.
